MODEL OF THE MONTH September 2010 Issue 93

First Date: Kay Valentine

DSPORT: So Kay, tell us a little about yourself.
KAY: I love to sing, dance and eat. I would do that all day, every day, if I?could. Trust me, I'm not kidding. I also have a huge passion for music & performing arts. Currently, I'm working hard as a recording artist.

DSPORT: We're picturing you as a Spice Girl. Sorry, it's your accent. How does America compare to England?
KAY: I like them both. England has better snacks, especially chocolate. As for the food, I don't think anywhere beats America's take-out food. You guys are pretty much decked out with fast food... I love In-N-Out.

DSPORT: In-N-Out rocks. Both Jeren and Brian worked there at one time. Jeren was also the only male to work at a Hot Dog on a Stick (although he claims there were others). So what's your favorite food?
KAY: I love all food in general, but I've become absolutely crazy for sushi over the past two years. It tastes so good, yet it's healthy. I also love Vietnamese, Filipino and Brazilian food. I love Bosa Nova on Hollywood's Sunset Blvd. Roscoes Chicken & waffles all-day, everyday as well. You get the picture, I just love food overall.

DSPORT: So your voracious appetite got you into modeling?
KAY: I was given the opportunity to do some modeling when I got scouted online about 2 years ago. I didn't want to have any regrets, so I gave it a go.

DSPORT: Have you traveled outside of England or the States?
KAY: I've been to quite a few places around the world. I like to travel and explore the world. There are many places to visit in the future. It's been a great experience to learn about other countries and cultures.

DSPORT: Let's get back to your music.
KAY: Music is something I cannot go a day without. Everything music-related gets my interest. If someone makes music, sings, produces, writes or even dances to music, we'll probably have plenty to talk about. I appreciate all genres but hip-hop and R&B are my passions.

DSPORT: So if someone was interested in a model with a killer appetite and a passion for music, what's the best way to break the ice?
KAY: Simple. Just be"friendly." I'm not a difficult person to get along with. But where I?meet someone can make a difference. I?tend to make better friends with guys that I?don't meet in a club setting.

DSPORT: Nine out of 10 times girls that don't believe that they are difficult are the most difficult. What's the secret to a second date?
KAY: With the first date, I assess the overall date itself. A good date needs a good tempo of conversation with both intelligent speaking and listening. If the guy is able to keep up with that task, then a second date is probably in the mix.

DSPORT: Well maybe you aren't that difficult. Do you enjoy having drinks?
KAY: I don't drink because I dislike the smell and taste of alcohol. It's bad for you and I'm happy without it anyway. Midori sour tastes pretty much like a nice soft drink though.

DSPORT: Ok, so we were right with our first guess. Just kidding. What is your take on the import scene?
KAY: The import scene is pretty cool because you learn more about cars. It also gives you a chance to network with a variety of new people. I always enjoy learning something new and meeting new people.

DSPORT: Do you have a favorite car?
KAY: Lamborghini Murcielago. That is actually what one of my friends likes to call me. He says I'm built like a machine.

DSPORT: Yeah. Well. British guys are kind of weird. So that may make some sense over there. Anyways...do you have you any parting words for DSPORT readers?
KAY: Thanks DSPORT?for showing love by having me grace the cover and pages of DSPORT for the world to see. Shout out to my entire family tree, both in England and American. Last but not least, shout out to my beloved fans... Thank you for all your support. You've all given me strength to believe in myself. Much appreciation to all and lots of love always.
